Snickers Protein Bars

If you have tried and enjoyed the snickers baked oats you will loooove this protein bars!! They are such a good post-workout snack and just something handy to keep in the fridge for when you fancy a little snack but also want to keep on track with any protein goals you have! The protein, fibre and healthy fats combo from the oats, protein powder and peanut butter make them really filling too due to slowing down digestion!! Also feel free to use whatever protein powder you fancy- I used a vegan vanilla and it worked so well!

Notes

Depending on your protein powder, you may need a little more or less milk so aim for a consistency that you would be able to press down- you don’t want it too crumbly (vegan protein powders usually need more milk!!)

This would make 16 little squares or 8 bars!

My 1st recipe and it was so easy to do! I wanted the macros so I put it into MyFitnessPal. Not tied it yet but excited to try some freezer dump bags this weekend!

Hey, I have recently joined the app and am making this one today. Am I able to access macros information? Many thanks x

Hey Jodie! I don’t share any macros or calories the same as my Instagram. Myself and many people on here have unfortunately suffered bad relationships with food and these recipes are more about nutrition than macros 🩷🩷

I understand, I'll add it to MyFitnessPal and do it that way. It would be helpful to know protein per portion particularly of main meals if that information was ever available to share x

Soo tasty! I tweaked recipe again with less honey, chocolate and nuts. I added PB fit powder and Greek yogurt and did a mix of chocolate and vanilla protein powders. It tastes fabulous, a great home made alternative to shop bought bars.

My updated comment is that you don’t need much of these they are so filling ie the 16 is perfect, in portions of 8 this would be like having a meal!
