Cajun Sausage Pasta Bake

You can't beat a good sausage pasta bake- it is proper comfort food and this one is sweet, smoky, cheesy and super easy! Packed with lots of sneaky veg but in a lovely rich ragu sauce so it is hard to spot them! I have used caramelised red onion sausages (they are from Tesco and taste sooo nice) but feel free to use whatever you fancy- even chicken sausages work well if you want a leaner option! Note: If you don't want to make this dinner as a dump bag, that's no problem! Just add all the ingredients listed to the baking tray at the same time and cook using the instructions below!

Rather than a dump bag, I made the sauce seperately and blended it, and I made the sausages into meatballs. Went down well with the family!

This went down well. I ended up chopping up the sausages so they weren’t whole.

Really enjoyed the pasta with the hidden veg, going to try with chicken next time as I’m not a huge fan of pork sausage, but wanted to give it a go as it should be first to try it out 🙂

If this was done in the slow cooker, do I just add the ingredients to the slow cooker with the chicken stock and pasta, then add the cream cheese when its almost done ? Then add the cheese on top and cook without the lid for 10 mins? 😊

Such a good recipe as you could if you wanted to add any vegetable leftover in the fridge. I do think I may have put too much stock in as a little bit watery for me. Still it was very nice to eat
