Slow Cooker Chorizo Bolognese

If you love a bolognese, you neeeed to try adding chorizo for the ultimate upgrade! It gives it such a smoky & slightly spicy flavour and it is just so good!! The best part is that it is cooked completely in the slow cooker, all you have to do is boil the pasta after work and that is dinner SORTED! I have added the dump bag prep in the notes too if you wanted to prep ahead!!

Notes

Want to make this veggie?

  • Use 2 x 400g tin of drained lentils or chickpeas OR use your fav veggie mince! I have used quorn in this before and it works well!

Want to make this a dump bag?

  • Add all the ingredients listed below to your dump bag, mix well, label and seal and store in the freezer for up to 3 months. De-frost the dump bag overnight, add to your slow cooker using the cooking instructions below and add a few tbsp of gravy at the end to thicken!

Was lovely! I did add slightly more herbs to it than the recipe stated but had a lovely flavour. Feel like I have a lot of left overs too for freezing for a lazy evening after work which is a bonus

Think this would have been nicer out of the air fryer as the mince had a strange texture. Would definitely do it with chorizo just in a pan made fresh though as it added a nice flavour!

Really nice! Blended it up with baby pasta for my 9 month old and 4 year old had it blended with pasta shells
