Homemade Snickers Bars

Welcome to the 4th episode of my new series, Healthier Than The Shelf! 🛒 this is all about turning supermarket classics into something more nutritious, I’m going to do everything from biscuits, cakes & sweets to crisps, ready meals and freezer favs ! 🎉🛒 This week I wanted to recreate one of my all time favourite chocolate bars which is snickers!!!🥜 this would always be my go to chocolate bar and I shop at Aldi so we get racers 🤣🤣 but these are sooo tasty, have just 10 simple ingredients rather than the 17+ in a normal snickers and also pack in a good amount of protein and fibre too! Plus with the weather being hot you don’t have to turn the oven on either 🤣💚🎉woooo!! Recipe makes 8-12 bars depending how big you want them 🥰🩷

Loved these! Definitely need to use a better quality chocolate to melt on top as I was having a job getting it to cover them I had to just dollop it on top in the end but wow my family loved them and even my toddler could join in the fun as they’re sugar free!

I was skimping on chocolate a bit here and my base was a bit crumbly, so made more of a snickers style millionaires shortbread… delicious!
